What would Freud say?

We were sipping iced lattes in the shade at Sigmund Freud-Park this afternoon and were amused by the peculiarity of the huge poster on Votiv Kirche! And speaking of Dr. Freud, we passed by his house on the way back to our 20th district. Still haven't made it inside (to what is now a museum).

Vacationing in Deutschland

... that is sort of what we did last week, when traveling to Northern Germany to spend the long weekend (holiday in DK) with my family. It was great to see everybody again and to enjoy the seaside. Geez, I miss the ocean here in Central Europe! The brown river of Danube is just not the same. And hanging out for those late summer sun sets near a beach is the best! Ahh! Four great days away from the daily routine were over in snap. We are back in sunny Wien, which is not bad either.

Balance

Today has been quiet and unproductive. We got a bit of a crazy (but fun) schedule ahead of us with trips to Germany, Hungary and Denmark spread out over the next five weeks, which coincide with the spring semester going into intensive mode. I could use a little more time to balance it all out, but I'm ready to roll with it and will focus on all the sweet people we are soon to see again rather than paper deadlines, thesis proposal and exams.

Outside

This week is sunny and warm, and we, like a lot of the locals, are enjoying afternoons in the park and dinner outside. We met up with good friends yesterday, who unfortunately will be moving to Bangkok soon. We will miss them! When not enjoying the great weather, there are lots and lots to do with school, so I apologize for being more absent than usual in here...
