Is It a Man? Is It a Woman?

These days are busy, so all I leave you with this time around is an image of a poster I'm personally quite intrigued by. Check out the blush on that guy's face and the faantastic 80s hair style. It almost makes me want to go and check out Phillip Kirkorov - the Russian King of Pop (or so the poster say), when he visits in May. ;)

Three More Months

PhotobucketPhotobucket

I have received several requests for pictures of the belly, so here goes. I’m not the best to pose for the standard pregnancy belly shots, but of course they are fun to have later on, and I’m sure more will be taken during the last trimester.

These pictures are from the other day, when I had exactly three months to go before expected due date. Actually I don’t feel the pictures do justice to how big the belly really is by now. Or maybe it’s just me feeling so different from my old regular self, where grapping things from the floor and walking up stairs was as easy as scratching my neck?!

A few more updates pregnancy-wise:

  • I have joined a prenatal yoga class and the very wonderful Vienna Babies Club, where I have been placed in a group with other expecting international mommies-to-be, who are all due in July, August and September. So far the group is made up of women from the US, Venezuela, Peru, Finland, Belarus and (surprise!) Denmark. We’ve only met a few times, but it seems like a great support network, where everything pregnancy related can be discussed. After delivery we will continue to meet with the little ones.
  • We continue to study births etc. in Deutsch and have now also registered for a Geburtsvorbereitungskurs (birthing class). Bjarni is working out long lists with relevant vocabulary, which, by the way is also full of, for him, new words in Danish. I’m so impressed by how he is taking on this whole task! Lucky lucky me, who feel I have the best support I could ever ask for in him.
  • And last but not least, my sister brought two bags of cracklings/flæskesvær (that strange pregnancy craving of mine), when she came for a visit. One bag is now left… :)

Easter Visitors

What a great week it's been so far. My sister and niece came to visit the first part of the week, and it has been so so nice to see them in the surroundings that are now home to us. Hanging out is much better than talking on the phone! Unfortunately I didn't bring the camera with me much, so a picture of Helle (my sister) is missing. Same day they left my old flatmate Helle stopped by for another couple of days before heading off to Asia today. Together we have been moving around from bench to bench enjoying the sunny weather and eating pancakes two days in a row, reminding me of the days back in our old apartment in Copenhagen. Good stuff.

Frühling an der Donau

Bjarni took these pictures earlier today along the Danube canal, and now I was given the job to post them as he is busy in the kitchen. I like the expression on the face in the last picture. Looks like the guy is burping..
Hope everybody is having an enjoyable Easter. We are excited about visitors arriving next week. Yayy!
